As a specialised dance school, Mathis Dancing offers a broad variety of classes for girls and boys of all levels and ages. Established over 50 years ago by Lynda Mathis, Mathis School of Dance continues to provide the ideal environment for students to develop and hone their passion for dance.

Located in Braeside, our students from all surrounding areas attend lessons 5 days a week in our multiple studio spaces. With emphasis on safety, care and attention, we are dedicated to cultivating a respectful and enriching experience for every student we teach.

Focused on finding the most productive balance between fun and discipline, Mathis School of dance caters for all varieties of dancers- for fun, as a team, or competitively. We teach an exciting range of dance styles, and also undertake examinations in TAAD Tap and Cecchetti Ballet.

Our spacious facilities are professionally furbished and cater to all dance styles. Our four large studio spaces are fitted with change-rooms, barres, mirrors and a fully sprung floor to reassure safety at all times.

As fully qualified professionals, our warm and friendly teachers are committed to fostering the appreciation of dance through our confidence building and self-motivating programs. Mathis School of Dancing is known for supporting students through an encouraging and nurturing family environment.

Our students have gone on to perform at an international level and in professional and widely celebrated shows, such as Saturday Night Fever, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes and the King and I.

Uniforms may be also purchased from our on-site shop. Simply ask our friendly staff at reception to assist with any queries you may have for your child’s individual needs.Additionally, our onsite kitchen provides a great place for parents to enjoy tea and coffee, and our outdoor space is a lovely area to wait in while students complete their lessons.
