Hans Reinhardt was a timber kiln builder with a rich knowledge of timber. In , Hans and his family started 'Betta Slat', a company producing and supplying Western Red Cedar slats, vertical louvers and shutter components to the timber blinds industry.
In , 'Betta Slat' transformed into 'The Wood Blinds Factory' making finished timber blinds and timber verticals.
