Dry Needling
Dry needling is the use of acupuncture needles to treat muscle pain. It can be called intra msucular stimulation. We insert fine needles into trigger points to release them to reduce muscle tightness and pain.
Dry needling can effectively treat pathologies such as Achilles and calf tightness, plantar fasciitis and muscle strains.

Children's foot care
We can diagnose and treat a range of paediatric foot complaints such as:
o Sever’s Disease
o Flat Feet
o Warts
o Ingrown toenails
o In-toeing and toe walking

Orthotic therapy

Foot Orthotics are inserts put into your shoes to improve foot function by supporting and realigning the foot.
Custom foot orthoses are made from a plaster impression of your feet to give you correct support to suit your foot type.

Foot orthoses restrict abnormal foot motion by realigning and stabilising the foot. Custom orthoses provide a long term solution for many foot and lower leg issues.

Diabetes and Wound Care
People who have diabetes are more at risk of developing foot problems. It is important to get your feet checked by a Podiatrist at least once a year to ensure you maintain good foot health.

There are two main causes of foot issues that need to be monitored with people with diabetes.

1. Angiopathy- poor circulation
i. This means there is reduced blood flow to your legs and feet due to a narrowing or hardening of the blood vessels.
ii. This can lead to slower healing rates and increased risk of infection.

2. Neuropathy- loss of feeling
i. This means numbness, burning, pins and needles or itching present in the feet .
ii. This can be quite serious due to injuries such as cuts, abrasion and burns can occur without the person being aware.
