iampoppy is run by Poppy, a graphic design – illustrator, who works from her home studio in the sunny surf town of Currumbin, Australia. With a love of drawing since she can remember, Poppy went on to study Illustration at the University of Plymouth, completing with the ‘Student of the Year’ prize in . She loves to travel and enjoys tasting all the local delicacies on her various journeys. Many of her illustrations come from these experiences and she especially loves capturing local festivals and celebrations. Past adventures have taken her throughout Europe from France down to Morocco, across throughout Asia and even Thailand to live. All these experiences gave her a love of capturing culinary delights which can be seen in her foods collection, released in early . Her recent work has taken more of a design aspect, with invites, logos and greeting cards being what kept her most busy throughout . Late October saw the release of her new card range, which showcases many of her older images reworked with a more graphic design approach. Her favourite way to create is through texture, collage and ink drawing. Incorporating sewing, typography and digital media to create a quirky, feminine feel based on landscapes, food and nature.
