Based on Peltier effect, thermoelectric cooler (TEC) is built which can both heat and cool, depending on the direction of DC current. TEC is a heat transfer tool. TEC has been widely used for temperature control of laser system temperature, refrigeration, water heater, air conditioner and computer CPU, etc.
