"Creative Lifestyle Photography in Newcastle specialises in photographing a variety of genres including Maternity, Newborn, Families, Portfolios, Weddings, Engagement Parties, Christmas parties and more. I love the variety of shooting all types of sessions as I believe the more work we do in a variety of styles the more experience we gain and the more creative we become with our photography.
Knowing a little about your photographer's background should be an important aspect in choosing who you hire to capture your precious memories. Life experiences as well as photography experience should be a determining factor in who you choose. Photography has evolved for me a transition over the years and I believe your photography session is not about just the end result its the process that takes us to the end result.
I have spent a great deal of my life working in a variety of preschools and long day care centres in the Newcastle Region, I hold an Associate Diploma in Child Studies and have a thorough knowledge of child development. These skills are an important as gaining a child's trust and being able to communicate on their level can affect the flow of the session and the end result. Keeping children interested in the process and encouraging them to laugh and have fun is in my opinion the most important aspect in achieving a successful portrait session.
My growth as a photographer has come through my life experiences with my own children, my working background and through continually studying and completing courses in photography. Back in I started my journey with a Portrait Course with Imagine Studios and have since then completed online courses with international photographer Kelsey Anderson - Evoking you in , Mentoring with the very talented and amazing inter national photographer Kansas Pitts of Kansas Pitts Photography mid this year and in August this year completed a three day workshop with Matt and Katie well known Australian Wedding Photographers. I still haven't decided as yet what will bring in terms of study but each year I strive to increase my skill and understanding of photography through courses or mentoring.
Sessions - Choose between on location session or a studio session. Backdrops can be set up for Studio sessions if you prefer the clean backdrop look.
