Akiva Therapies is located in the heart of Milton, South Coast NSW and is a short drive from Ulladulla, Mollymook and Narrawallee. Michelle Akiva specialises in Remedial Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone Massage and Relaxation Massage. She started training as a Naturopath but now specializes in Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Medicine.
Michelle has worked in different clinical environments including UClinic and Stone Jasper (Surry Hills) and hospital settings including North Shore Private and St Vincent's Clinic (Sydney). At St Vincent's Michelle was an accredited lymphedema practitioner in the lymphoedema clinic. Michelle will be furthering her expertise in Lymphatic Drainage in February by training with the Foldi Clinic based in Germany.
Michelle has a passion for natural health and the human body in general. She has conducted education nights on health, diet and wellbeing with other health professionals and community groups in the Shoalhaven. She treats a wide variety of clients, from people with muscular pains to those seeking a pure pleasure relaxation massage. Michelle’s Hot Stone Massage therapy has become renowned in the area as a truly heavenly, rejuvenating experience.
Michelle’s Naturopathic Nutrition and Herbal Medicine approaches vary with each client’s specific needs. Michelle’s treats her clients in a holistic manner, treating the person as an individual, not just a specific condition or limb. Her motto is to 'Set people up for success, not failure', and achieves great results with this approach. Michelle treats a broad range of conditions including: Digestion disorders, hormonal irregularities, anxiety, stress, depression, fatigue, weight loss and immune support.
