The Mobicon is a patented two-tower Gantry Crane or Straddle Carrier of unique design where the container, when carried becomes part of the straddle carrier structure. Mobicon Systems Pty Ltd currently have a large long term contract to supply the US Navy with Mobicons specifically designed for their Littoral Combat Ships program.
Mobicons are in use in many industries including, import/export, small ports, mining, customs/border security, logistics, manufacturing, steel and the Defence Forces. Key Customers include TOLL, ARC Steel and Sadliers plus the United States Navy.
