Fab Health

The FAB family of products began life in the 's when a young Sydney industrial chemist, John Corbett Snr, established the Medical Research Trust and brought back from the USA the first oral iron supplement.

With revolutionary thinking, at the time, John Corbett Snr recognised that iron deficiency was often closely linked to B group vitamin deficiencies and designed, what we think was, the first vitamin/mineral supplement of its type marketed in Australia. In addition he recognised the value of using an organic amino acid chelated form of iron, which is more easily absorbed by the body, thereby improving efficacy and reducing side effects.

The supplement was named FAB and became an almost instant success. Over the many years following its launch, FAB became established as the â??Gentle Ironâ?? as people recognised that it minimised many of the common side effects of iron supplementation, such as constipation and nausea.

With iron being the worldâ??s most common mineral deficiency, FAB continued to be successful as consumers found new life and energy as their iron states were corrected and maintained.

Over the years, and especially in recent times as knowledge of diets and peoplesâ?? needs have improved, the formulation of FAB has been changed to reflect these developments. Other products such as FABFOL Plus (developed primarily for pregnant and lactating women) and FAB MAXIFEM (Day and Night Capsules to help deal with PMS and stress) have been added to compliment the range.
