Vacy Hall Historic Guesthouse

Vacy Hall is a heritage-listed Historic Guesthouse in a century-old grand colonial mansion surrounded by over an acre of beautiful gardens and is only metres from Toowoomba’s CBD.

Being located in a quiet area convenient to the city centre Vacy Hall provides restful, comfortable accommodation in an atmosphere that is totally different to motel and hotel rooms.

Designed as a private residence in the ’s by prominent Toowoomba architect, James Marks, Vacy Hall features an imposing entry portico leading into a grand hall with a central domed area, leadlight windows and beautifully patterned parquetry floors of teak, cedar and crow’s ash.

Vacy Hall boasts twelve guest bedrooms and twelve guest bathrooms. All suites have fireplaces (8 in total), some with cedar bay windows opening on to wide verandahs. The crisp Darling Down’s nights allow guests to enjoy a crackling fire for most of the year. A daily fire service charge of $ applies when a fire is used to cover the cost of kindling and firewood as well as the daily cleaning and resetting of fireplaces.

5 different types of rooms make Vacy Hall ideal for midweek corporate travellers seeking something different, small business meetings or reunions for families and friends, weekend romantic interludes and celebrations, as well as for wedding and honeymoon accommodation. Groups often book the entire building and Vacy Hall becomes their own ‘country house’ for a couple of days.

Wholesome country-style breakfasts can be served in your room, on the wide colonial verandah or in your room.
