Sergei Suetin has trained children for more than years and has achieved remarkable success in developing students’ musical potential. His students have won prises on various Australian musical competitions, obtained music scholarships and achieved outstanding results in musical examinations.
Sergei’s training and education in the Russian conservatory, where he attended the same class as the world-renown fiery maestro Valery Gergiev, has spurred his future musical success. He performed as a concert pianist internationally and locally with concerts and recitals given in Russia, US and Australia. With time, Sergei’s primary focus has shifted to teaching, inspiring students to follow his footsteps and achieve local and international musical acclaim. He established the St. Petersburg Music Studio in in memory of the city where he lived and received his education.
Currently, Sergei specialises in providing music instruction to children and adults, preparing them for AMEB and VCE exams. Some students express interest in taking Piano For Leisure or work outside the exam structure, however, theory and technical work remain as the key areas of focus.
