Premium Shiraz is the focus on this small family run vineyard, located in the central Heathcote region, about 2 kms west of the township. This vineyard with 4 hectares of vines was established in the mid ’s.
Both the Rowbothams Track, Heathcote Shiraz and the Betelgeuse Heathcote Shiraz are produced from low yielding vines that produce high quality fruit. The vines are pruned to yield small quantities of intensely flavoured fruit which is hand-picked
The aim of Argyle Forest Estate is to produce an elegant Heathcote shiraz that is balanced between fruit, acid, tannins, oak and alcohol. The uniqueness of the wine comes from the famed Heathcote terrior. The vineyard produces two sensational Shiraz, the Rowbothams Track, Heathcote Shiraz and smaller quantities of the Betelgeuse Heathcote Shiraz.
